Christ Special School celebrated its 14th Annual Day, Kritha Hastha 2.0
On the eve of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Christ Special School hosted the Bangalore Special School Championship – CHRIS FEST 2025–26 on 28 November 2025.
We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Christ University’s Department of Hotel Management. As part of this partnership, three of our students will receive weekly training in the areas of Kitchen Help, Bakery Assistance, and Service Department. This unique exposure aims to provide them with real-time learning opportunities and enhance their employability by bridging classroom skills with professional practice.
The students of the Primary section of Christ Special School participated in the Pre-Independence Day Cultural Programme organised by the Primary Classes in Christ School (State Board) on August 14, 2025. The chief guest for the programme was Mr. Ramesh, Police Inspector, S.G. Palaya Police Station. The program included very colorful fancy dress and patriotic song and dance events.
On 26th July, 2025, a team of 5 students from Christ Special School participated in the 4×100 meter relay and 4×150 meter mixed relay organized by Sophia Opportunity School. They secured second prize, bringing pride and joy to our institution.
We conducted a solo dance competition for our students in 3 categories, and almost 18 of our students participated and rocked the stage with their wonderful performance. Their parents took a lot of effort to teach them and were present to encourage them. Our Director, Rev. Fr. Nijo Jose CMI, along with Rev. Fr. Babu motivated them, and the judges of the event were Ms. Dinisha and Ms. Jayashree from Christ State School.
A session for parents on Gut Health and Nutrition for children was conducted, and the session was led by Rev. Fr. Dr. Joby Pulikkan (Asst. Professor, St. John’s Research Institute, Bangalore). The session was very informative for most of the parents, and they really appreciated the management for providing such useful sessions.
We celebrated Yoga Day by displaying a few yogasanas by our selected students and 10 students from Christ State School under the guidance of vocational trainer Mr. Babu. Our Director, Rev. Fr. Nijo Jose CMI, interacted with students and shared the benefits of practicing yoga on a daily basis. The event highlighted the importance of yoga in fostering physical well-being, mental clarity, and inner peace, encouraging students to embrace a healthy and mindful lifestyle through regular practice.
Christ Special School celebrated World Environment Day on 10th June 2025, in the esteemed presence of our Director Rev. Fr. Nijo Jose CMI.
The celebration aimed at instilling awareness among our students about the importance of protecting our Mother Earth. The programme began with an awareness session that emphasized the significance of growing plants and the necessity of waste segregation. The session was conducted by Ms. Madhumita (Vocational Coordinator, Christ Special School).
