Christ Special School

Environment Day

Christ Special School celebrated World Environment Day on 10th June 2025, in the esteemed presence of our Director Rev. Fr. Nijo Jose CMI.

The celebration aimed at instilling awareness among our students about the importance of protecting our Mother Earth. The programme began with an awareness session that emphasized the significance of growing plants and the necessity of waste segregation. The session was conducted by Ms. Madhumita (Vocational Coordinator, Christ Special School).

To mark the occasion, all students wore green T-shirts provided by the school as a symbol of harmony with nature. A practical session on waste segregation was held, where students actively participated and learned the basics of managing waste responsibly.

As a step towards nurturing responsibility and love for nature, each student was given a sapling to take home and care for. Additionally, each class planted a sapling with the assistance of Mr Narayan, Gardener, and their class teacher. The event was a meaningful and impactful experience that helped foster environmental consciousness among our students in a simple, hands-on, and inclusive manner
